Introduction of Chongqing

Chongqing is located in the middle-west of China. With a population of over 31 million, it is one of the four metropolitans under the direct jurisdiction of the central government in China.

　Industry is the dominant force in national economy in Chongqing. There are more than 100,000 industrial enterprises. In 2008, the total industrial added value of Chongqing has reached RMB 200 billion. At present, five large key industrial in Chongqing have been formed and cultivated, i.e. automobiles and motorcycles, petroleum and natural gas chemistry, equipment manufacture, new material and high-tech industry.

　Famous Auto City of China -- Chongqing’s production capacity of automobiles ranks the fourth place in China. The production and sales volume of all kinds of automobiles has reached 1,090,000 in 2008.

　Capital of Motorcycles in China – The annual production capacity of motorcycle in 2008 has reached 10.63 million, ranking 1st in China. The export volume accounts for one third of total export volume of Chinese motorcycles.
