The Visit of UNIDO Official in Chongqing

Entrusted by the Director General of UNIDO, Mrs. Dan Liang, Director of Investment and Technology Promotion Bureau, UNIDO, visited Chongqing together with Mr. Valdimir Kozharnovich, the Project Manager of the Bureau, from the 14th to the 16th, December, 2006. So far Mrs. Dan Liang is the highest officer from UNIDO who have ever visited Chongqing. The main purpose of the visit is to discuss the future working plan of SPX-CQ with the Steering Committee of SPX-CQ:

①To strengthen the promotion of China International Industrial Subcontracting Fair(Subcon China);

② To help SPX-CQ set up connection with high level of domestic and international industrial organizations and institutions;

③ To support SPX-CQ to become the specific SPX in the field of China machinery industry;

④ To discuss the possibility of setting up the service platform of industrial design in Chongqing;

⑤ To discuss the possibility of promoting the E-commerce platform of SPX-CQ in China;

On the afternoon of 14th December, Mrs. Dan Liang inspected SPX-CQ together with Valdimir Kozharnovich, the Project Manager. At the office of SPX-CQ, Mrs. Dan Liang listened to the brief introduction of buyer database and the operation procedures of database, which she gave full recognition of. In addition, she highly appraised the work of SPX-CQ. In the evening, Mr. Wu Jianong, the Deputy Mayor of Chongqing Municipal government, invited Mrs. Dan Liang for dinner and discussed the related matters during the dinner. On 15th, December, accompanied by the Director of SPX-CQ, Mrs. Dan Liang visited Chongqing Dazu Hardware Industrial Zone and said that UNIDO could provide assistance in helping Chongqing Design Industry set up cooperation partnership with international Industrial Design Industry through UNIDO's channel.
