A Survey Project for Canadian Consulate in Chongqing

On the 12th, January, Mr. Wang Wei, Director of SPX-CQ met with Mr. Shawn Steil, Consul of Canadian Consulate, Chongqing and discussed about cooperation on the project of  "A Survey of the Overseas Investment Strategies of SW China Automotive Companies". Mr. Shawn Steil mentioned that the Canadian enterprises have strong intention to cooperate with Chongqing automobile parts manufacturers and the Consulate has responsibility to provide information and help for these Canadian enterprises.  Since SPX-CQ has good knowledge about Chongqing's automobile industry and strong professional service capability, the Consulate believes that SPX-CQ would be the best partner in carrying out the Survey of Overseas Investment Strategies of SW China Automotive Companies. After discussion, Canadian Consulate, Chongqing and SPX-CQ reached preliminary agreement on the project.

The survey aims at understanding the current situation, the overseas investment strategies, and experiences of international cooperation of the target enterprises which specialize in automotive and auto parts manufacturing in the region of Southwest China, centering around Chongqing and Chengdu, especially Chongqing so as to identify the cooperation opportunities between the Chinese enterprises and Canadian enterprises.

It is estimated that the project will be finished at the end of March. At present, SPX-CQ is in the process of needs analysis and planning while the Consulate is preparing the text of the agreement. The agreement will be signed at the beginning of February and then the project will start.
