The Gap Analysis is to give professional assessment on the current situation of Chongqing auto parts enterprises and the gaps between what Chongqing auto parts enterprises are capable to deliver and the requirement of international buyers on the four aspects mentioned above.

2. Why conduct the Gap Analysis?

The Gap Analysis can help these enterprises who want to enter into the global supply chain to know about their current existing problems and what to improve to meet the requirement of international buyers, and it also provides authoritative and professional grounds for making international marketing strategies and plans. According to the assessment report, the enterprise will decide whether it needs further consultancy and/or training so that it can make improvement plan and implement the plan under the guidance of AIAG experts.

3. Who implement the Gap Analysis?

To ensure that the assessment will be conducted professionally and the results will be the guidance for improvement, AIAG will try to recruit the best experts available who experience in international enterprise management to implement this project.

4. Which enterprise can participate in the Gap Analysis?

To be involved in the Gap Analysis needs commitment. The enterprises who meet the following criteria will achieve better results:

  1. The top management should have strong desire to export and to enter the international market and have reasonable understanding on requirements of international buyers and be willing to pay necessary expenses for the improvement.
  2. The enterprise should have certain scale of production, good economic efficiency and adequate financial and other resources for the improvement.
  3. The enterprise should have reasonably good management system, have received TS16949 certificate, and have certain experience on international supply.
  4. The CEO or the top executives must have personal commitment to this gap analysis, involving in the whole process with his own expert team.

5. How will AIAG promote the assessed enterprises?

One of the important achievements of the project is that the professionalism and impartiality will be ensured by AIAG. AIAG will publicize on its website and newsletters the assessment results and recommend its members to visit the website of SPX-CQ for more information. SPX-CQ shall publish the complete assessment report approved by AIAG on its website for the enterprises which make the request. Per AIAG member request, AIAG will assist its members to establish business links with Chongqing enterprises.

6. What support will Chongqing government provide?

Chongqing government will provide financial support to Chongqing enterprises when they participate in the gap analysis and provide administrative support for the expert team's work in Chongqing through SPX-CQ, including communication, offices, office equipment, working documentation, working agenda and contact of local enterprises, etc..

7. What fees do the enterprises pay for the Gap Analysis?

It is free of charge for the Gap Analysis. However, the participating enterprises need to pay certain amount of fees to cover the working cost of the expert team generated during the project. The exact amount of charge will be fixed when the working agenda and traveling plan are arranged. If the enterprise asks for consultancy and training service of the expert team, it will be charged according to international rate. The amount of service fee may be negotiated according to the needs for service.
