The Supplier Survey for Bosch Group Finished Successfully

Bosch Group is a multinational corporation which ranks top 94 in the world. It has been in successful operations and the leader in many different fields including Automotive parts, electric tools, electric appliance, security system, transmission and control technology, etc. In 2007, Bosch group will further increase its procurement volume in China from EUR500 million in 2006. to EUR1 billion in 2007.

In order to find potential suppliers, Bosch entrusted SPX-CQ to conduct a supplier survey in west China in the field of auto parts, instrument and meters, medical equipment and electronic parts. This supplier survey will have great impact on Bosch's purchasing strategy in China.

With the support of Chongqing Municipal government, Chongqing Foreign Trade Economic Relation Commission, and Chongqing Economic Commission, the survey was carried out successfully. With rich experiences in supplier pre-selection, SPX-CQ finished all the preparatory work in three days, including work documents and standard tools, quality control criteria and training for the investigators of the project.

From May 4 to 7, SPX-CQ searched the suppliers in the field of auto parts, motorcycle parts, medical equipment, as well as instruments and meters, etc. in Chongqing, Sichuan and Guizhou in its database. 2000 part suppliers conforming to the requirements of Bosch were searched out.

From 8 May to 24 May, SPX-CQ checked the data of the suppliers via telephone and asked about their cooperation desire with Bosch. After evaluation, up to May 25, SPX-CQ submitted the list of pre-selected qualified suppliers to Bosch.

Bosch selected some suppliers for pre-evaluation and the on-site visit is expected to conduct in the middle of June.

Up to now, the supplier survey project for Bosch is finished successfully.
