Subcon China 2008 International Promotion Activities

Subcon China (China Industrial Subcontracting & Outsourcing Fair), initiated in 2005, is the most important and unique Industrial Subcontracting fair in China sponsored by UNIDO, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and Chongqing Municipal People's Government, and organized by SPX-CQ.

Subcon China aims to provide effective and professional services including subcontracting, technology transfer, investment promotion and sales network sharing for the manufacturers and service providers of equipments, components, parts in the field of mechanical manufacturing - metal processing and plastic processing. Subcon China will recommend potential partners for the participant before the fair, arrange personalized match-making meeting schedule for the individual purchaser or supplier and offer follow-up services to help the participants establish long-term cooperation after the fair.

In 2007, Subcon China covered 10000 m². 319 exhibitors attended the fair, and more than 50 state-owned enterprises from sectors of aviation, aerospace, shipping and military exhibited in the fair, representing sophisticated processing capabilities of Chinese manufacturing.

Subcon China 2007 attracted 8700 trade visitors, including more than 100 persons from 45 overseas organizations/companies.  31 overseas companies delivered their purchasing requirements before the fair and participated in the Business Match-making Meeting as international buyers, 18 of whom reached cooperative agreements with 60 Chinese suppliers, or indicated cooperative intents.

The fair was highly praised by many well-known companies/organizations in the world, such as Bosch, Vestas, Toyota Tsusho, VDA.

Subcon China 2008 will be held on Nov. 5-7 in Chongqing. To expand the fair's influence overseas and invite more international purchasers, SPX-CQ has started its international promotion activities. It plans to promote the fair globally in following ways: point-to-point invitation, developing international agents for purchaser organization, building up cooperation relationship with international fairs, and sending staff abroad for promotion.  At present, SPX-CQ has delivered the materials of Subcon China 2008 to 2800 purchasers listed in SPX-CQ's purchaser database, and entered agreement of intent for cooperation with some fair organizers, such as Tool and Gauge Manufacturers Association - India (organizer of DMI, the largest die fair in India), Fair Design India P. Ltd., Leipziger Messe  International GmbH, and etc. SPX-CQ also plans to organize delegations of Chinese enterprises to visit India, Gulf, and Africa before the fair so as to strengthen communication with local partners and promote the fair in these regions.
